David & Marie. Wedding Photography - The Boathouse, Ormesby, Norfolk.

I was understandably very excited when I was commissioned to cover David and Marie's wedding at The Boathouse in Ormesby, Norfolk.  I'd last visited there many years ago before the total transformation which has taken place in recent times.  David and Marie were the PERFECT clients to make use of the amazing venue and it's surroundings.......

Bridal prep took place on site, I got some great shots of the cheeky flower girls, bridesmaids and Marie whilst the preparations were taking place.  You'll see that I got a great shot of Mum having her hair done, I'm sure she'll be over the moon with that one, haha!  (Sorry Mum, couldn't resist!).  Marie received a surprise package from David just before getting the dress on....... Nothing less than a pair of Jimmy Choo heels!!  The look on Marie's face was priceless and I think they heard the shriek in Suffolk as she opened the box!  Dad's face was an absolute picture when he saw his beautiful daughter in her dress for the first time, who then had the pleasure in walking her down the aisle, though not before them having a special Father and Daughter "moment" together on the boardwalk from where they had arrived on the boat.

An amazingly hot day, loads of sunshine and a superb couple to work with enabled me to get some great shots throughout the day and on into the evening, telling the story of their fantastic wedding and what a great day they and their guests clearly had.  This was a couple that literally danced their way back down the aisle (wasn't for a second expecting THAT!), totally in love and "in the zone".
