This was a special one for me. This is the 5th wedding within the same family I have had the pleasure of shooting (over more years than care to remember!). Combined with the fact that Danielle was the 3rd generation I'd covered, you'll appreciate why it was very special......
The venue was The Old Rectory (Country House Hotel) at Crostwick. It was a new venue for me, very impressed with what I saw, the team there were extremely helpful too! The weather on the day was far from favorable but it did not dampen spirits in the slightest for Danielle and Ben, they were 100% in the zone and a few drops of rain (well, quite a few really, oh and some hail!) were not going to deter them in any way! The ceremony room was lovely and bright and the guys were up for doing some creative stuff a little later on out, dodging the continual downpours! During the bridal preparations I captured Dad's first glance at his beautiful daughter in her dress, I think we all cried a little at that point, there were a few more during the speeches too as I remember. I dropped Danielle and Ben's USB stick round yesterday and I was overjoyed to hear Danielle say that she would not have changed a single thing about their wedding day, it was perfect. That's an AMAZING statement and one that I was thrilled to hear. Speaking of "thrilled to hear", here's a transcript of my conversation with Danielle yesterday after she had looked through the photos: Danielle: Ryan, I can not say thank you enough. Every single photo is so special and we LOVE them all! You have captured every moment of our truly perfect day. I keep looking at them over and over again and fall in love with them that little bit more. Well done, you have took our breath away and have made us want to do it all over again. I knew you wouldn't let us down. Thank you again. Love from us both xxxx Me: Haha! That's awesome, thank you sooooooo much! Did you get what I was talking about with the night shots in the daffodils? The heart shape tree behind you? xx Danielle: Omg, yes I had tears rolling down my face!! Happy tears though! Just gorgeous, I can't wait to show everyone. So happy with them, more than happy!!! Xxx Me: Oh god, you've got me at it now, lol! Thanks so much for your kind words xxx It's this kind of thing that makes it all worth it. Thank you Danielle and Ben, Big Love x p.s. a big thank you once again to Becky and the team at The Old Rectory for their hospitality. www.oldrectorycrostwick.com
